Wolf Tooth T47 External bottom brackets are designed for smooth operation, maximum durability and easy serviceability. Our unique design uses custom bearings, seals and polymer bushings to effectively eliminate squeaking. The system combines best-in-class weather protection with optimized bearing compression for minimal rolling resistance. This option is designed for T47 frames where the bearings are housed in cups on the outside of the frame.

Premium bearings with ACOSUR ZNA surface treatment The balls and raceways of the bearings are made of hardened chrome steel, which has a higher hardness than stainless steel. This ensures a longer service life and quieter operation. Thanks to the special ACOSUR ZNA coating, the bearings resist corrosion better than stainless steel (tested for 500 hours in a salt bath). Combined with sophisticated sealing and the elimination of metal-to-metal contact, these compositions deliver top performance in any conditions.
