The development of the Peaty’s Rim Job rim tape involved riders, mechanics, and scientists alike.
The tape has high tensile strength, but thanks to its optimally tuned stretchability and adhesive layer,
it perfectly adheres to the inner wall of the rim as if it were part of it. Do you usually struggle to find the valve hole?
With Peaty’s Rim Tape, you can forget about that problem. The tape’s transparency will always guide you reliably.

Installation instructions

1. After removing the tire, remove the old rim tape from the rim.
2. Thoroughly clean the inner rim wall using an alcohol-based degreaser.
3. Before applying the tape, ensure the rim is dry and free of all dirt.
4. Start approximately 10 cm from the valve hole and work your way toward it. Press the tape firmly
5. into the center of the rim’s inner wall and smooth it out toward the edges. Squeeze out all trapped air.
6. Continue the same way around the entire rim circumference, again overlapping about 10 cm past the valve hole.
7. Pierce the tape with a sharp point in the center of the valve hole.
8. Install the MK2 valve.
9. Mount the tubeless tire and fill it with Peaty’s Tubeless Sealant.
10. Inflate the tire to a higher pressure than you usually ride.
11. Shake the inflated tire thoroughly and let it sit.
12. Before riding, release the pressure to your desired riding pressure.
