Tom Ritchey has been riding long-distance off-road and designing products for those adventures for decades before terms like “gravel” or “bikepacking” were even invented. His real-world experience is reflected in every Ritchey product—including the legendary VentureMax handlebar. The original version, with its short reach, shallow drop, and purposeful offset, offered comfort and confidence to a multitude of riders on their off-road adventures.

The new generation of the Comp VentureMax builds on this legacy, but adds modern elements. The most notable change is the ergonomically shaped aero tops (38 x 22.5 mm) that provide a much more comfortable palm rest. The handlebar adaptability is further expanded by preparation (drilling) for the Shimano EW-RS910 linkage unit.

The key to comfort on long rides is the ability to change hand positions. The Comp VentureMax offers a wide range of grips, especially thanks to the pronounced 24° flare at the bottom. It also features a unique Bio-bend - a specific curvature in the arc that increases comfort no matter how long your adventure lasts.
