The default orientation of the Turbine SL stem is a negative offset, providing riders with better climbing control and pedaling efficiency. In this position, the stem's top surface is completely flat, which not only looks great but also creates an ideal surface for "over-the-stem" cycling computer mounts.

By flipping the Turbine SL stem, you get a +6mm offset and a 12mm boost in cockpit height (compared to the negative orientation), without needing to adjust your headset spacers. A higher cockpit supports a more confident and capable descending position. It also allows riders to sit more upright and comfortably while pedaling.
