As your little biker grows, so does their confidence on the bike. The Nukeproof Cub-Scout 16 is the next step on the trail path – a kids’ bike that takes the DNA of the legendary Nukeproof Scout and delivers it in the form of a true mini MTB for young riders.

It is ideal for children who are transitioning from a balance bike or have outgrown a smaller bike. Designed for future riders from around 5 years old (105-120 cm) who want to explore the world on two wheels.

Simple and clear control

The beginning of pedaling should be fun. That's why the Cub-Scout uses a single-speed drivetrain, which is simple, reliable and perfect for the first real rides.

When the pace gets a little off the chain, disc brakes with levers designed for children's hands come in. The shorter lever reach allows for safe and confident braking even for small riders.

A bike that fits children

Unlike many children's bikes, there are no scaled-down adult components used. The Cub-Scout 16 is built with components designed specifically for children - from the saddle to the handlebars to the cranks and pedals.

Smaller handlebars, child grips, short cranks or platform pedals ensure that the bike fits perfectly in small hands and feet.

Stability, grip and comfort

The low standover frame makes it easy to get on and helps build confidence while riding. The adjustable saddle lets you adjust your position so the bike grows with you.

Lightweight wheels help with easy starting, and tires with an off-road pattern offer reliable grip on gravel, forest roads, and pump tracks.

If the balance is still fine-tuned, the bike is also compatible with additional wheels.
