The Strada is Challenge’s proven champion for efficiency and sublime road feel. This high-performance tire combines a supple, rounded profile that takes the sting out of rough pavement with a construction that provides maximum control and very low rolling resistance.

This Handmade PRO version combines a supple Super Polyester casing with our SMARTprime tread compound, which is our fastest rubber yet.

Challenge clincher tires (beaded tires) are designed for use with tubes and hooked rims.

Handmade Construction Details

Handmade

Challenge handmade tires combine comfort, performance, and grip in a way other tires cannot match. Our handmade tires are assembled step-by-step by experienced craftspeople. High-quality natural glues and latex coatings are applied to ultra-supple casing materials like silk, cotton, or polyester. The result is a small-batch tire whose ride feel is simply on another level.

PRO Series

Everyday Luxury – Our workhorse handmade tires make up the PRO series, delivering performance and ride feel unmatched by traditional vulcanized tires. They are perfect for the rigors of daily riding.

Super Polyester 300 TPI Casing

Super Polyester casings with a higher thread count of 220–300 TPI make up our most affordable handmade casings. Polyester is much softer and stronger than nylon, is impervious to water, and is quite durable.

Tread Compound: SMARTprime

The SMARTprime compound delivers lower rolling resistance than our basic SMART compound, without sacrificing traction or durability. The SMARTprime rubber compound forms the basis of our fastest road tires yet.

Puncture Protection: PPS Ganzo

PPS Ganzo is the ultimate single-layer fabric designed for puncture protection. PPS Ganzo offers greater security while maintaining low weight and rolling resistance.
